So this year we took the plunge and exhibited at the Interior Design and Art Fair RDS 2010 for the first time, what an exhilarating experience. Even though I have designed stands for The Interiors Association at Irish Antique Dealers Fair, this was different, alot was riding on the professionalism of the stand, great design, and having a service and product that will engage the public attention. We ticked all boxes (even if I say so myself), with generous compliments from the public and my design contemporaries alike.

The show was well attended with many people looking for ideas, some with new builds on the horizon, and plenty of talk about revamp, uplift and refurbishment. This is a very positive sign that people are not only thinking about doing work, but are going ahead with it. Obviously, value for money is imperative, and investing in design is key to a successful scheme, so our special “Refresh and Revitalise” consultation was greeted with great enthusiasm, filling a gap in the market for affordable and professional design advice.

So in all a successful show for us, and hopefully an inspirational treat for visitors, great to be talking about design and getting feedback on what people really want from an interior designer. We would definately do it again and use this as valuable learning experience and to improve for next year.
